From the moment you inquire, my goal is to make the photography process feel simple, organized, and enjoyable. I’ll take the time to get to know you as a couple, learn about your vision for the day, and answer any questions along the way. Engagement Session (Recommended)
I highly encourage an engagement session before your wedding day. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, build comfort in front of the camera, and ease into the experience before the big day arrives. You’ll get a feel for how I work, and I’ll learn how you naturally interact together—so when your wedding day comes, everything feels familiar, relaxed, and effortless.
Location Scouting & Planning
Approximately 30–90 days before your wedding, we’ll meet for a location scouting session. Whether you’re getting married in the Lakeland region or somewhere new, we’ll visit your portrait locations together, discuss the best lighting, plan efficient travel between locations, and identify beautiful backdrops for your photos.
This planning session allows us to make informed decisions before the wedding day so everything flows smoothly when the time comes.
Your Wedding Questionnaire
About 30 days before your wedding, you’ll receive a detailed wedding questionnaire. This gives me everything I need to prepare for your day, including:
- Your complete wedding timeline
- Ceremony and reception details
- Family photo combinations
- Important people and relationships
- Special traditions or meaningful moments
- Vendor information
- Any photography requests or priorities
Having these details ahead of time means less stress for you and ensures nothing important is overlooked.
A Relaxed & Guided Wedding Day
You don’t need to worry about posing or wondering what to do in front of the camera. I’ll guide you naturally throughout the day while giving you plenty of space to be present with each other.
From family portraits to romantic couple images and candid moments, I’ll help keep everything moving efficiently so you can spend more time celebrating with the people you love.

Most couples book 12–18 months in advance, especially for summer and fall weddings. Popular Saturdays fill quickly, so it’s always best to book as soon as you’ve secured your venue.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! Engagement sessions are a wonderful way for us to get to know each other before your wedding day. You’ll become comfortable in front of the camera, learn how I work, and receive beautiful images that are perfect for save-the-dates, invitations, or your wedding website..
We’ve never had professional photos taken. Will you help us pose?
Absolutely. Nearly every couple tells me they’re nervous about being photographed. I’ll guide you through natural poses, movement, and prompts that help you relax, so your images feel genuine, comfortable, and full of real emotion.
Are you insured?
Yes. I carry professional business liability insurance, which many wedding venues require.
Do you photograph small weddings and elopements?
Absolutely. Whether you’re planning an intimate backyard ceremony, a lakeside elopement, or a full-day celebration, I’d love to document your story.
Do you photograph weddings outside of Bonnyville and Cold Lake?
Absolutely! I proudly photograph weddings throughout the Lakeland region, including Bonnyville, Cold Lake, St. Paul, Lac La Biche, Elk Point, and surrounding communities. Destination weddings and travel outside the area are also available.
Do you carry backup equipment?
Yes. I always bring professional backup camera bodies, lenses, memory cards, batteries, and lighting equipment. Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and being prepared is essential.
Do you photograph family formals?
Of course. Family photographs are an important part of every wedding day. Before your wedding, we’ll work together to create a family photo list so everything runs efficiently and no important combinations are missed.
How long will it take to receive our wedding gallery?
You’ll receive a sneak peek shortly after your wedding so you can relive the excitement while you’re still celebrating. Your complete professionally edited gallery will be delivered within the timeframe outlined in your wedding contract. usually 8-12 weeks.
